The Latino American Association of Monmouth County (LAA) is a not for profit organization that supports the Latino community in Monmouth County. We, the members of the LAA, take pride in fostering educational programs and promoting cultural diversity in our communities. Our organization serves as mentors and assists students in our county by awarding scholarships to qualified students.
The Association utilizes membership dues and profits from several events throughout the year, to provide the funds used solely for the scholarships. In 2017 we awarded $15,000 to college bound students from Freehold, Long Branch, Matawan, Neptune and Red Bank. Please encourage college bound seniors of Latino decent from your school to apply. Scholarship applications can be obtained on our web site.
The Annual Awards Banquet is an event at which we honor select individuals that support and serve as mentors to the Latino community. We invite you to join our association.
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
